Comprising of over 220 members between the men and women clubs, hockey is one of Newcastle's biggest sports. There are 11 teams between both clubs (7 women, 4 men). All teams compete in BUCS Leagues, and the England Hockey National League plus Yorkshire & North East Hockey Leagues at weekends.
The Women’s 1st team are competing at the top tier of BUCS in Premier North and are also in the England Hockey National League, Conference North on Saturday's. Our Women's 2s play in the Yorkshire & North East Regional Premier League on Saturday's.
The Men's 1st team play at the highest level, in BUCS National League, and on a Saturday in the Yorkshire & North East Regional Premier Division.
All training and home matches are played at Longbenton Sports Ground on our brand-new dedicated sand-dressed floodlight hockey pitch.
The hockey programme is headed up by our Director of Hockey and supported by experienced coaches across both the Men’s and Women’s programmes.
There is a progressive pathway in place for all aspiring hockey players so there are plenty of opportunities to play at the highest level you can.
