Undergraduate Offer Holder Experience Days

Our Offer Holder Experience Days are exclusively for students who have received an offer to study with us at undergraduate level.

What is an Offer Holder Experience Day?

Our Offer Holder Experience Days are your chance to:

  • explore our campus
  • learn about our facilities and student services
  • delve deeper into your chosen subject.

You'll have the opportunity to meet current students and chat to academics from your course. Find out more below about what to expect.

How to get involved

In 2025, we are holding 3 Offer Holder Experience Days between March and May.

The events are invite-only. You'll receive your email invite shortly after receiving your UCAS offer to study here at Newcastle. If you haven't received your invite, get in touch.

Events will take place on the following:

  • Saturday 15th March 2025
  • Saturday 29th March 2025
  • Saturday 10th May 2025

Different subjects will be taking part on different dates; you only need to attend once. You'll find out which date your subject is taking place when you receive your email invite.

What to expect

From 9.00 to 16.00, you'll learn about our Student Services and meet our students at our Student Services Fair.

Throughout the day you will discover more about your chosen subject. You should receive details of this separately, including a full timetable for the day.

Campus tours

Between 9.30 and 16.00 you can take an express campus tour to give you a feel for our city-centre campus. Tours are led by our current students, so they are a great way to learn more about university life too.

Tours will take about 45 minutes. The last tours will depart around 15.00.

Accommodation viewings

Throughout the day we will have a minimum of three of our accommodation sites available for you to view:

Make your own way to any of the sites, or alternatively join a campus tour that leads you to Park View and Marris House.

Please note that viewing our accommodation is always popular, therefore there may be a short queue when you arrive. We will manage the flow of visitors entering the show flats and will have staff on hand to answer any queries while you wait.

Student Services fair

Make sure to visit to the Boiler House. Here, you'll find representatives from various Student Services waiting to answer your queries.

Services include:

  • Accommodation
  • Careers Service
  • Student Finance
  • Health and Wellbeing
  • Sport
  • Global Opportunities
  • NUSU (Students' Union)

We'll also have our PARTNERS team on hand to chat about next steps, the PARTNERS Assessed Summer School and much more.

Student Life Talks

We will have a variety of interactive talks on different elements of student life throughout the day, there will also be plenty of opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have. More detailed information will be coming soon.

Sports Centre and library

In addition to the above, why not drop in to our Sports Centre for a tour of facilities, or our Philip Robinson library for an idea of our library and study spaces? Both are open 9.00-16.00. You'll be met by our friendly ambassadors who'll show you round.

Subject-specific content

Throughout the day you will learn all about your chosen subject. Offer holders will receive an email invite to book onto the subject activity for the degree programme/s you have applied for.

Once booked, you will receive a subject-specific timetable with details on what to expect.

This can include:

  • talks and seminars
  • facility tours
  • the chance to meet current students studying your subject
  • the opportunity to speak to academics from your course
