Key Stage 3 - 4 School Groups

We have a range of activities to support your key stage 3 and 4 students on our campus.

Overview

We offer various activities for each year group. These activities aim to inform and engage your students in higher education. Our goal is to increase their confidence.

What a typical day for your students may look like
  • 09:50 - 10:15 - Arrival and registration, with icebreakers
  • 10:15 - 10:35 - What is a university?
  • 10:35 - 11:00 - Interactive group work 1
  • 11:00 - 11:15 - Break
  • 11:15 - 12:00 - Presentation
  • 12:00 - 12:30 - Lunch
  • 12:30 - 13:15 - Campus tour
  • 13:15 - 13:50 - Interactive group work 2
  • 13:50 - 14:30 - Evaluation and goodbye

Activities for Year 7 and 8

Design a University: reinforce your students knowledge about Uni

Put students' knowledge into practice with this artistic activity. Groups of attendees will:

  • consider all aspects of student life
  • work as a team
  • create their ideal University
  • share their creation with the wider group

HE an Investigation: introduce your students to higher education

Teaches students all about university and what it has to offer. Attendees will:

  • take part in an interactive presentation
  • use Cryptography to discover different subjects
  • guess the different societies and sports that are on offer
  • learn about the different entry routes to University

Celebrity UCAS: students learn the basics in writing a Uni/job application

In this interactive activity, students will look at personal statements. They will study the structure and content, before trying to write their own.
