Travelling to Accommodation

If you do not expect to arrive in Newcastle when the Meet and Greet Service is operating, you will need to make your own travel arrangements to your accommodation.

Arriving by air

If you are arriving by air, into Newcastle International Airport, you can:

  • get a taxi from Newcastle Airport to your accommodation, which should cost around £20–£25
  • get a Metro train into the city centre, which will cost £3.30

Arriving by train

If you are arriving by train, into Newcastle Central Station (which is located in the city centre), you can:

  • get a taxi from Central Station to your accommodation, which should cost around £15
  • get a Metro train to the stop nearest your accommodation, which should cost no more than £3.30

Keep in mind that if you are travelling with a lot of luggage, you may be more comfortable getting a taxi than using public transport.
