Airport Meet and Greet

Our Airport Meet and Greet service team provides a warm welcome to new international students arriving at Newcastle Airport.

 

Please complete the Airport Meet & Greet Booking Form to book onto the service.

 

The team will be happy to meet you at Newcastle airport, help with your luggage, and provide transport to University accommodation or the main campus. We have a Welcome Desk located in the airport foyer near International Arrivals.

The Meet and Greet service provides transport to University-owned or Managed Partnership accommodation or to the University campus only.

We’re only able to provide transport for students and one accompanying family member. We have space on the coaches for a maximum of two pieces of luggage per student. Students with more than one suitcase may have to wait a little longer until space becomes available on our Meet and Greet coaches, or may be advised to take a taxi. Some airline companies are now charging passengers a significant fee if they place more than one piece of luggage in the hold of the aircraft.

Arriving at a different time

If you have booked a place on the Meet and Greet Service but your flight is delayed or you arrive outside of normal office hours, telephone the University’s 24-hour security service on +44 (0) 191 208 6817. You will need to provide your student number or UCAS number.

The security service will arrange to meet you at a central location. University security staff wear dark blue uniforms bearing the University logo or bright yellow jackets and carry identification (ID). We recommend you then take a taxi direct to your destination from the taxi rank outside the arrivals gate at the airport.
