RESEARCH INTERESTS
I am interested in a broad range of areas in Chinese studies, particularly on cross-cultural studies between China and the West, Chinese modernity studies, modern Chinese literature and culture, Chinese-English translation, global Chinese diaspora studies, Chinese-American studies, cultural theory.
CURRENT RESEARCH
I am currently engaged in the Gu Hongming (Ku Hung-ming) study, working on Gu Hongming: Victorian Culture and Chinese Civilization and Collected Works of Gu Hongming.
Teaching Experience
I have almost four decades of university-level teaching experience on a variety of topics and subjects in several higher education institutions around the world.

I have supervised several PhD students in Hong Kong and in UK.
