Celebrating the impact of our alumni volunteers

This academic year, around 500 alumni volunteers from 30 countries have given back to their university community, whether that be supporting students on campus or our global community of Newcastle University graduates.

$1 million endowment pledged to Newcastle University

We were thrilled to recently welcome Dr Gillian Cannon to campus from the US to finalise plans for her family’s generous $1 million endowment to Newcastle University, supporting future generations of students and researchers.

£156k donated to enhance Newcastle University’s Gertrude Bell Archive

A generous gift from long-standing supporters, the Harry and Alice Stillman Foundation will fund an 18-month project with the Royal Geographical Society to create the most comprehensive view of the life and work of North East born explorer Gertrude Bell.
