International student recruitment activities

Help us recruit the next generation of students!

What volunteering activities can I undertake?

Volunteering to support international student recruitment activites can be undertaken in several different ways:

  • Attending recruitment fairs (virtually or in-person): Share your experience of studying at Newcastle University and what life in the city is like with prospective students and parents, as well as answer any questions they may have.
  • Delivering a talk at your high school: Share your experience of appyling to and studying at university with high school students who may be considering studying at Newcastle.
  • Being part of alumni panel discussions at offer holder events: Share your experience with students who have been offered a place to study at Newcastle University and answer any questions students and parents may have. A short talk/presentation may be required.
  • Attending pre-departure events (virtually and in-person): Share your top tips and things to note with students who are travelling to Newcastle to study. Detailed questions may be asked about what to expect when living in Newcastle.
  • Speaking at employability webinars: Share your top tips and insights about how to navigate the job market.
  • Representing Newcastle University at student recruitment conferences, exhibitions or events
