North East Raising Aspiration Partnership

Supporting young people to think about their futures and how higher education can help them reach their goals.

What is the North East Raising Aspiration Partnership (NERAP)?

NERAP supports young people to think about their futures and how higher education can help them reach their goals.

It provides a wide range of free in-school and online workshops/activities on a variety of topics for students in Key Stage 2 and 4.

It is committed to providing additional support for students who are young carers. These targeted programmes provide an immersive experience to support young people throughout their educational journey. To find out more please visit their website.

What can I currently get involved with?

NERAP's Choices Together Progressive Programme is dedicated to supporting care-experienced young people aged 11-18 in navigating their future aspirations.

It seeks positive role models for young people and would love to invite alumni with experience of care to support them with the delivery of the Choices Together Progressive Programme.

It runs in-person events for our young people across the year at our five university campuses and would welcome any volunteers who could give up their time to come along to talk to our young people and share their stories. All of the events take place during school holidays.

More details about the exact timings and content of events will be provided once alumni have registered their interest.
