What is ‘science careers outside the lab’?
‘Science careers outside the lab’ is a career information fair taking place at Newcastle University on Thursday 20 March 2025. The information fair is designed to give Newcastle University students an insight into science career opportunities outside of the traditional lab setting.
What is involved?
We are seeking graduates from the School of Natural and Environmental Sciences or the School of Biomedical, Nutritional and Sports Sciences who are currently working in a role using their scientific knowledge/ability but outside of a lab setting.
Volunteers will need to attend in person and manage a physical stand for a couple of hours and talk to students about their career path. Although this is not a recruitment fair, volunteers are welcome to promote any graduate opportunities within their business if they wish to do so.
