In the first week of December 2022, Cat Button and Helen Underhill attended the Research and Education Network for Knowledge Economy Initiatives (RENKEI) Winter School at Kyoto University, Japan.
Cat delivered a Keynote Lecture on the importance of social sciences, arts and humanities in future research into climate change adaptation to RENKEI mentors and fellows, and representatives from the British Council.
Helen was part of a successful bid for seed corn funding that will look at the role of local knowledge in adaptation to climate change in Japan.
