Jack Mutton is a Chartered Architect, Director of Topo Architects and a Lecturer in Architecture at the School of Architecture Planning and Landscape at Newcastle University. Jack studied architecture at Newcastle University, London Metropolitan University and Cambridge University. Jack has extensive professional experience working on a range of award winning and Stirling Prize nominated, public and private projects which have included cultural institutions, museums, galleries and housing. Prior to establishing Topo Architects Jack spent an extended period of time working in London with Carmody Groarke, Stanton Williams and Stephen Taylor Architects.
Jack is a member of ARB (Architects Registration Board) and the RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects).
Jack joined Newcastle University as a Stage 3 Studio Leader in 2018, and has since taught on a range of courses at the School of Architecture Planning and Landscape at Newcastle University. Jack is as a Stage 3 Coordinator on the BA Architecture course and continues to lead a Stage 3 studio alongside artist Harriet Sutcliffe.
Alongside teaching at Newcastle University Jack has been invited as a guest reviewer at schools of architecture across the UK.
