Project Title

Building Home

Project Description

The research is a practice based, interdisciplinary investigation situated in the fields of Fine Art and Architecture. Building on my artistic exploration of the relationship between memory and imaginations of the domestic space, this research has at its heart a creative imagining of urban life through the application of an art practice, using sculpture, drawing and installation. The research contributes to both fields of architecture and art through a combination of creative and social science research methodologies, with an emphasis of dialogue between the researcher and the site and the people inhabiting the site. This results in an original study from a unique situation, proposing new approaches to a complex social construct and a unique form of living together.
