About me

I am Shirin Hejazi, currently a PhD researcher at Newcastle University. My academic journey has led me to explore the mechanisms and tools that governments employ to utilize the built environment for propagandistic intentions. I am interested in understanding and analysing the inclusion and exclusion of different groups resulting from political interventions and their spatial implications. With prior experience as a researcher, journal author, editor, and advisory board member for local government, alongside personal life experiences, I view space as a dynamic stage for both officials and citizens in my past, present, and future research endeavours.
