Children's Cancer and Leukaemia Group Tissue Bank

The Children's Cancer and Leukaemia Group (CCLG) Tissue Bank collects, stores and maintains tumour tissue and biological material for research into paediatric and adolescent type solid cancers.

The CCLG Tissue Bank is the UK’s largest unique collection of tumour, DNA and other tissue samples from childhood cancer patients.

The aim of research carried out using these samples is to improve understanding, diagnosis and treatment of childhood cancers and related conditions.

Samples are all stored in the Newcastle Central Biobank for streamlined access to childhood tumour tissue.

We are supported by funding from:

  • Cancer Research UK
  • Children's Cancer and Leukaemia Group

Further information is available on the CCLG website.
