Overview

The Nikon NiE is a semi-automated microscope.

The Nikon NiE microscope can be used to view slides. The camera is an Andor Zyla 5.2.

The filters, condenser, motorized stage and z drive are all automated. This allows for multichannel, z stack imaging to be performed.

The system is run through Nikon’s versatile Elements software package. It also incorporates wizards to allow the automated capture and analysis of fluorescence images.

  • The minimal booking time for this system is 30 minutes. 
  • Time increments of 15 minutes are permitted. 
  • Bookings can be cancelled with no charge up to an hour before scheduled use.
