Studying Biomedical Sciences at Newcastle University serves as the perfect foundation for my professional career. The combination of world-class facilities and lecturers created the perfect environment necessary for my academic success.
The degree programme provided me with the freedom to choose the route I’d like to go down, whilst still studying the core biomedical principles. I thoroughly enjoyed studying “Business for the Bio-scientist”, which fed my desire to go into Business Development after university. I learnt how to solve problems whilst engaging in my studies, which was harvested as an key characteristic of mine as I progressed professionally.
The Tutor support, friends I made, and knowledge I acquired helped me to become the person I am today, and I would highly recommend for anyone considering the degree, to have Newcastle University as your top choice.
I have had experience at some of the biggest companies in the world; Uber, Eversheds Sutherland – as an example. Having attended Newcastle, I can wholeheartedly say that the experience gave me exceptional confidence to pursue the roles I did, and outperform in them.
I am now a Business Development Manager, in charge of our Law Firm clients at GlobalData.
