Study Overseas Opportunities
We encourage our students to take a global study opportunity as part of their degree studies.
You can take part in an overseas study experience or international exchange programme during your programme. For further information see our Study Abroad flyer. Options you can take include:
- a semester as part of a taught programme,
- a summer placement,
- a research project at a partner University,
- a year abroad study placement (Biosciences Study Abroad Placement),
- a short-term global opportunity, or
- a virtual exchange.
We provide support in finding the right opportunity at the right time for you, and our global ambassadors are on hand to give you advice and insight on what studying overseas is really like.

Our Global Opportunities team manage our University-wide partnerships (for a full list of where you can go, check out their website) and provide support and guidance. They also advertise short term mobility opportunities as well. You can also study languages for free alongside your programme through our University-Wide Language Programme and access support through the Language Resource Centre.
