Sustainable Finance international collaboration
Dr Periklis Boumparis worked with colleagues from Liverpool and the University of South Carolina. They examined how sovereign rating downgrades impact firms' environmental, social, and governance (ESG) policies. Their findings highlight significant impacts on corporate sustainability practices, particularly in shareholder-centric countries.
Estimating and forecasting skewness
Jiayu Jin worked in partnership with the University of Manchester. They developed advanced methods to estimate and forecast skewness in asset returns. This work, using S&P 500 options data, offers new insights into risk-neutral skewness over time.
