Why stay involved?

Staying involved at Newcastle University Business School is a great way to enhance your skills and raise your profile in a safe and trusted environment. From developing your public speaking skills to strengthening your leadership abilities, there is usually a way to support your own development while helping the School and our community.

With your support we can continue to build a world-class business school and continue to create future global leaders.

Enhancing the student experience

Mentoring

Support students as they navigate challenges in their studies and careers. Your professional experiences will be invaluable to our students. As a mentor, you can share knowledge and insights on topics such as:

  • finding research
  • writing reports
  • running a business
  • giving presentations
  • work-life balance

Share your story

We’re always looking for new alumni profiles, news and articles to feature on our web pages, student portal and social media. From business owners, those completing a graduate programme, those making a career change and much more we would love to hear from you.

Guest speaker or lecturer

We are always looking to enhance our students' learning through inclusion of alumni voices in our teaching. Guest speaking is a way for you to add value and provide insights that inspire the business leaders of tomorrow.

We are often looking for alumni to support panel events, guest lectures and projects.

Support students on their career journey

As well as mentoring and guest lectures, alumni can support students realise their ambitions through:

  • taking part in coffee chats
  • sharing job opportunities with your company
  • attending our networking events
  • welcoming students to your workplace during a student trek

Supporting the graduate community

Peer mentoring

Like our current students, many alumni are looking to speak to fellow graduates about how to develop their skills or what it is like to work in a certain industry.

If you would be able to share advice or champion a like-minded graduate to discover their potential we’d love to hear from you.

Set up an alumni network

Our global networks support alumni activity across the world.

Join or lead an alumni network in your region and help connect fellow graduates. Work with the Alumni Relations team to strengthen our global alumni community.

Strengthening our reputation

Global partnerships

Work in academia? We know that collaboration can sometimes make sense.

Contact us to find out how we collaborate on innovative research, deliver dual degree programmes and provide unique global opportunities for our students.

Take part in rankings

Rankings act as an internationally recognised measure of excellence for business schools. Each year the Business School takes part in these rankings with the aim of attracting the best talent to Newcastle and enhancing our global reputation. This ultimately showcases our graduates as world-class and supports your future.

In order to be successful, we ask alumni from certain courses to complete a short survey. To make sure we are able to contact you, please ensure your alumni details are up to date.

Graduate outcomes

Graduate Outcomes is a nationwide survey. It gathers information about graduates’ activities and perspectives 15 months after completion of studies. It provides valuable insights into employment, further education, and the overall impact of higher education on graduates’ lives.

If you are a recent undergraduate, you will be contacted 15 months after graduation via email or phone. You'll be asked to complete a brief survey about your achievements since finishing your studies.

By participating, you help us to continuously develop our offer and ensure we are providing the best possible experience for our students.

Your feedback can truly make a difference.
