About this session

Our second Forum explored the topic of coaching as an embodied practice.

We engaged with presentations from the latest Master's research. There were also opportunities for small group discussions.

Lynne Cavanagh-Cole highlighted that coaching is mostly understood as a linguistic practice. She pointed out the big gap around the embodied aspects of coaching. She shared her research on the use of somatics in coaching. This included the connection with neuroscience.

We also heard from Marie Bleuze. Her dissertation researched an embodied experience of co-development group coaching. She investigated how a somatic method helped to transcend individual linguistic emotional and physical narratives.
