Enhance Student Learning
You can offer our students the opportunity to gain real-world insights into the world of business.
We prepare students for the world of work. Our programmes and research help our graduates thrive in a rapidly evolving landscape. We partner with organisations to ensure our students gain experience of industry and practice. We work with a diverse range of organisations who provide our students with meaningful encounters and insights. We're always looking to expand our connections to benefit our student experience.
Give guest lectures, keynotes and panel discussions
Share your knowledge and experience with our students. Provide a guest lecture, be part of a panel, or lead an event as a keynote speaker.
We host speakers who are experts and business leaders in their field. They offer the latest insights across a diverse range of industries and disciplines.
We're always looking for new perspectives and industry insights.
Host a company visit
A visit to your premises gives our students meaningful insights into the world of work. They'll see business operations first hand and get the opportunity to hear from your team.
Our roots are in the North East and we're very proud to showcase businesses within our region. Our students have also visited organisations both across the UK and internationally.
Host a student project
Your business can benefit from our students' knowledge and skills. Gain a fresh perspective on a live business issue that you present to our students. They can undertake it as a business project as part of their programme.
Our students will conduct research and offer recommendations that address the brief you set. They'll be guided by our experienced academics throughout.
Set a business challenge
Our students thrive when faced with real business problems.
We also provide opportunities for you to engage with students on live competition briefs outside of their studies. They will apply theory to solve a real business problem. Industry professionals give them feedback so they can build their employability skills.
Alternatively, you don't have to set a challenge yourself - we also look for volunteers to judge student pitches and competitions.
The group then visited the HSBC Global Headquarters in Canary Wharf. The students toured the 45-story skyscraper, including a visit to the bank’s boardroom. They attended financial careers insights session hosted by Emily Lawrie, Associate Education, Charities and Not for Profit Organisations at HSBC.
“We thoroughly enjoyed hosting students from Newcastle University Business School for a 'Working in Finance' panel and a tour of our global head office," said Emily. "We hope the students found it a valuable experience, as our panellists certainly enjoyed meeting them. Some brilliant questions and fantastic engagement!"
