I am a Lecturer of Marketing and Project Management at Newcastle University and also a senior marketing, digital and project management strategist with approaching 30 years’ industry experience on both agency and client-side, with demonstrable experience of managing and delivering highly complex projects for some of the best-known brands around.
I became a graduate of marketing (in Newcastle) in 1994, and since then I have worked for some of the leading integrated marketing agencies in Manchester and London delivering multi-channel marketing campaigns and technology driven projects in the UK and Internationally.
I have developed extensive experience in the process of taking brands online and digitising their brand offering, with specialist interest and knowledge of digital marketing, customer engagement, data acquisition & management, analytics, project planning and delivery, and operational management. Additionally, through overseas work, I have gained additional further expertise in international marketing, managing and protecting intellectual property and software licensing.
My brand and client portfolio includes Bauer Media, HP, HSBC, John Lewis and O2– for all of which I have taken either a project lead or operational responsibility for delivering a brand led client application or project.
I am passionate about motivating and inspiring people to pursue careers in the marketing, digital and technology sectors. To support this I have written and delivered a number of under-graduate and post-graduate digital, marketing and project management modules.
