Eftychia joined the department of Marketing, Operations and Systems (MOS) in Newcastle University Business School (NUBS) as a Lecturer in Creativity and Entrepreneurship in 2019. She is originally from Greece but has lived in the UK since 2010.
She holds a BSc in Business Administration, an MSc in Management, an MSc in IT and Management and a PhD in Entrepreneurship. Eftychia started her professional career as a research assistant in the Greek Parliament and as a special assistant in the Post-Olympic business administration-EQUAL European Programmes in Greece. She entered academia as a Lecturer in HE in 2014.
Her research interests relate to Cognitive Processes in Entrepreneurship, Entrepreneurial Psychology in Venture Creation and Growth, Entre(intra)preneurial Teams, Entrepreneurial Education, Post-retirement and Gender Entrepreneurship, Family Business and Social Entrepreneurship. Eftychia welcomes PhD candidates with a passion on entre(intra)preneurial cognition and psychology.
Her work has been published so far in the Journal of Small Business Management, International Journal of Entrepreneurship & Innovation and the European Management Journal. She is the editor of the open access International Journal of Business Science and Applied Management.
Eftychia has an experience in teaching Entrepreneurship, Innovation/Creativity and Research Methods modules on a UG, PGT, MBA and Degree Apprenticeship Level (CMI).
