Background

Prior to entering the role of Head of ERM in January 2022, Jen joined the University Careers Service in June 2019 as a Careers Consultant and previously spent 4.5 years with Alliance Manchester Business School as part of the Postgraduate Careers Service where she worked with the MBA and MSc cohorts across a range of industry sectors including Consulting, Pharmaceuticals, FMCG and Retail.

Prior to that Jen was a Managing Partner of a creative recruitment business, Concept Personnel Ltd. with clients across the North East and in Scotland.  Going further back, she began her career working in advertising and marketing as an Account Manager with a focus on broadcast and print media.

Roles and Responsibilities

Jen works across two roles within the Business School; Head of Engagement, Recruitment and Marketing alongside Global Careers Consultant in a job share capacity.

As Head of ERM, Jen's responsibilities include overseeing the planning and delivery of projects and activities that relate to areas including Corporate Relations, Student Recruitment, internal and external Marketing, Alumni Relations, opportunities for Internationalisation, Careers and Employability as well as activity supporting Executive Education and Captured Programmes.

As Global Careers Consultant Jen works to provide opportunities for Postgraduate and MBA students to connect with employers both in the UK and internationally.
