Staff Profile

Jiayao Hu joined Newcastle University Business School in September 2020 as a Lecturer in Operations and Supply Chain Management. He is an active researcher in sustainable supply chain, circular economy, and operations strategy. His works have been published and presented at world-leading journals and prestige conferences. Dr Jiayao serves as an Editorial Review Board member for the International Journal of Logistics: Research and Application. He also acts as a reviewer for the International Journal of Operations and Production Management, International Journal of Production Economics, Transportation Research Part E, Resources, Conservation & Recycling, and other journals. Before joining Newcastle University, Dr Jiayao Hu worked at Coventry University as a lecturer and an associate member of the Centre for Business in Society.
