Staff Profile
Liucen is a lecturer in Information Systems Management (ISM) at Newcastle University Business School. She completed her Ph.D. in ISM at Warwick Business School, University of Warwick.
As a qualitative researcher, Liucen’s work focuses on using explorative methods to understand how technology management can benefit the digital workplace. Her work has been presented at various prestigious national and international ISM and management conferences (i.e., ICIS.UKAIS, AOM, EGOS), with one of her papers recently selected as a best paper at the 2024 UKAIS conference and invited for journal publication.
Throughout her doctoral studies, she actively served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at various higher education institutions in the UK. Her commitment to teaching excellence was recognised by WBS, where she received a certificate for outstanding contributions to their postgraduate teaching program, with student feedback highlighting her significant positive impact on their learning experience.
Liucen's research includes areas such as digital work and organisational transformation, IT-enabled equity, diversity, and inclusion, as well as technology adoption and planning in the workplace.
