Rebecca works within the Newcastle University Business School as the Alumni Relations Manager. In this role, Rebecca focusses on creating opportunities for the NUBS alumni community, of which there over 33,000 graduates. Opportunities include supporting career development, staying connected with the global community and gaining insight in to the University's research and global insight.

Opportunities span the globe and transgress borders with event and activity taking place virtually, on demand and in person. Rebecca also focusses on managing opportunities where alumni support prospective and current students as well as enhancing the University's vision through a range of opportunities. 

Awarded Silver at the CASE Circle of Excellence 2021 Awards in the special events category for our alumni Alumni Day of Action 2021 and CASE 2022 Europe Annual Conference speaker, Rebecca is an experienced engagement specialist driven to support student and graduate experience.

Roles and Responsibilities

My role within the Engagement, Recruitment and Marketing team is to lead our alumni engagement portfolio. This activity includes

• Developing career enhancing and professional development opportunities for alumni of Newcastle University Business School.
• Creating meaningful touchpoints and networks for our global alumni community.
• Supporting personal development and knowledge transfer for alumni, utilising the expertise of our alumni and staff.
• Supporting student experience through connecting alumni with volunteering opportunities across the University.
• Strengthening student recruitment through embedding alumni voices into prospective student communications and activity.
• Supporting the strategic priorities of the School though developing relationships to enhance reputation.
