Robin is a part-time Teacher in the Leadership Work and Organisations: Subject Area/Group.
Teaching Practice: Over 25 years in various roles and universities. Robin is an accredited teacher in Higher Education (Staff and Educational Development Association); teaching across academic studies in Sociology/Social Policy and human organisations and managment as a well as on professional programmes in areas as diverse as Social Work, Health Studies, and Journalism at Manchester University, Leeds Metropolitan University, University of North London, University of East London, Teesside University and Northumbria University and Newcastle University.
Research Practice: A former UK Civil Service Social Science Research Officer, Research Associate - Manchester University, and other diverse practice in the social research and market research industries working as both researcher and consultant.
Has held/holds office: ( or governance roles) in the public and voluntary sector and directorships in the cooperative/not for proft sectors and social enterprises.
Has studied at: Northumbria University, Manchester University, Surrey University and Newcastle University.
Current Teaching: Robin's current teaching at Newcastle University is on the Business and Management programmes at UG and PG levels, with some other teaching across the faculty.
Current Research Activity: Themes: sustainable trade/globalisation; alternative work arrangments: cooperatives/worker control; criminology; methodology; social theory; portfolio working in the creative industries.
