Dennis is a seasoned C-suite advisor and private equity operating partner, with extensive experience in executive leadership, mergers and acquisitions, and organisational strategy. He is the founder of Core Strengths Management Consulting and a Senior Advisor to Sun Capital Partners.
Previously, Dennis held senior HR leadership roles at Procter & Gamble (Retired Officer), Walt Disney, Kellogg, Scripps Networks Interactive, and NXP Semiconductors. He has advised at board level across multiple industries and worked with leading private equity firms, including AEA Investors, Bain Capital, Hellman & Friedman, and The Carlyle Group.
Throughout his career, Dennis has played a key role in over a dozen acquisitions, ranging from $3 billion to $54 billion, and has worked across developed, developing, and emerging markets. He lived and worked in London for several years.
As a consultant, he specialises in strategy development and execution, large-scale organisational change, M&A integration, and executive coaching.
Dennis also serves on the Board of Visitors at the University of Alabama, Kansas State University, and Durham University (UK), where he is a Visiting Professor. Additionally, he is the moderator of The Strategy Session Podcast, which explores leadership, strategy, and organisational dynamics with C-suite executives.
He holds a Master of Arts in Industrial Relations (summa cum laude) from the University of Alabama (1979) and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration with a minor in Economics (magna cum laude) from the State University of New York at Oswego (1978).
Dennis is the current Chair of the International Advisory Board.
