Thanapat Udomsirikun is currently pursuing a PhD in Management. He holds an MSc in Management Consulting with Merit from the University of Leeds and a BA (Hons) from the University of Birmingham.
Prior to his PhD, he gained valuable experience in the gaming industry, starting his career as a quality assurance tester at a company based in London. Over the course of his career, he has worked with international clients in Canada, the USA, and Japan, providing quality assurance expertise for various high-profile projects.
Project title: Exploring Industry 4.0 Technology and Open Innovation: A Factory-Level Analysis
Research interests: Thanapat's research interests focus on the cross-disciplinary study of Industry 4.0 and Open Innovation, focusing on how open innovation facilitates the implementation of advanced technologies within the manufacturing sector. His research employs a case study methodology, following the approach outlined by Robert K. Yin, to gain in-depth insights into real-world applications of Industry 4.0 technologies and the mechanism behind their implementation. His research study is not only expected to enhance understanding of the role of open innovation in technological integration but also provide practical implications for the future of manufacturing.
