Research abstract
This study investigates the risk factors associated with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system implementation in Jordanian organisations.
Using semi-structured interviews with 15 managers across IT, financial, and audit functions, findings reveal that implementation risks, such as system complexity and inadequate training, lead to operational issues like data inaccuracies and security vulnerabilities.
The study highlights cultural and organisational challenges, including hierarchical decision-making and resistance to system adoption. The findings emphasise the need for leadership engagement, robust training programmes, and cross-departmental collaboration to improve ERP adoption in developing economies.
