The Impact Academy research group welcomes Professor Darren Duxbury from Newcastle University Business School.

He will present his work, entitled "Behavioural Drivers of Intentions to Use Cash – Potential Pathways to Impact."

About the speaker

Professor Darren Duxbury is Chair in Finance at Newcastle University Business School. His research focuses on behavioural finance, financial decision-making, and the psychology of economic choices. He collaborates with industry partners to explore real-world applications of behavioural insights in financial decision-making.

Research abstract

During the session, Darren will talk about a collaborative academic-industry research project examining the behavioural drivers of intentions to use cash in the UK, discussing potential pathways to impact that have opened and closed along the way.
