Tell us a bit about yourself - what's your background?

My professional journey has been marked by diverse experiences that have shaped my perspectives and skills. As an architect and interior designer, I have over 13 years of experience in the private sector in Egypt, and recently in the UAE.

My career has involved evolving roles, from design and technical duties to managerial and leadership responsibilities. I have managed a team of talented designers and overseen large-scale projects across various sectors. These include workplace, hospitality, residential, hospital, and educational projects for global brands like Hilton, ABB, and British Petroleum.

What did your most recent role entail?

As the Interior Design Manager, I oversee the design and execution of multiple large-scale projects simultaneously. Budgets are usually above 100 million EGP. My responsibilities include:

  • managing the interior design team
  • collaborating with stakeholders
  • submitting proposals for potential project
  • ensuring effective communication with clients, contractors, other managers, and sub-consultants

I actively listen to clients' needs and guide them toward successful project outcomes, maintaining positive relationships.

Why did you choose to study an MBA?

I wanted to further develop my management and leadership capabilities and realise my aspirations as an entrepreneur. My background in architecture and interior design, combined with a vision for integrating spatial design and artificial intelligence, inspired me to pursue business education.
