Business Excellence Scholarship

Newcastle University Business School is proud to recognise and reward high calibre applicants who apply to commence full-time postgraduate taught studies.

 

Value of awards

 

Five (5) awards with a value of £10,000 tuition fee discount

 

Start date and duration

 

September 2025 for one year of study.

Eligibility Criteria

 

To be eligible for this partial-fee scholarship you must meet the following criteria (Business Excellence Scholarship Regulations - 2025 Entry):

  • hold an offer of admission for 2025 entry for an eligible programme (see terms and conditions for eligible programmes)
  • you must achieve or hold a UK 2:1 Honours Degree (or its international equivalent)
  • hold an English language qualification of IELTS 7.0 or its equivalent with no subskill below 6.0, if your first language is not English
  • Students can be domiciled in any country but priority will be placed upon students from underrepresented groups within out PGT student cohort

 

How to apply

 

Eligible candidates will automatically be considered for the Business Excellence Scholarship as part of their academic course application.  Applicants will be considered based on their academic level, English language score and quality of personal statement.

 

Scholarship deadline

 

Scholarship awards are made through the academic year and so early application is suggested.

Dean's International Excellence Scholarship

To be eligible for this partial-fee scholarship you must meet the following criteria (Deans International Excellence Scholarship Regulations - 2025 Entry):

  • hold an offer of admission for 2025 entry for an eligible programme (see terms and conditions for eligible programmes)
  • you must achieve or hold a UK 1st Class Honours Degree (or its international equivalent)
  • hold an English language qualification of IELTS 7.0 or its equivalent with no subskill below 6.0, if your first language is not English
  • be assessed as an international student for fee-paying purposes and domiciled in one of the following countries: Taiwan, Hong Kong, Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Mexico, Colombia, Peru, USA, India, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Japan

Eligible candidates will automatically be considered for the Dean’s International Excellence Scholarship as part of their academic course application.  Applicants will be considered based on their academic level, English language score and quality of personal statement.

Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Sustainability Scholarship

Our Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Sustainability scholarship is intended to foster an interest and build skills in innovation, enterprise and entrepreneurship and sustainability.

Eligibility criteria

 

To be eligible for this partial-fee scholarship you must meet the following criteria (Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Sustainability Scholarship Regs - 2025 Entry):

  • hold an offer of admission for 2025 entry for the Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Sustainability MSc programme
  • be classified as a UK home student and are wholly or partially self-financing
  • achieve or hold a UK 2:1 Honours Degree

 

How to apply

 

Eligible candidates will automatically be considered for the Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Sustainability Scholarship once they have received an offer to this programme.  Applicants will be considered based on their academic level and quality of personal statement, demonstrating their desire to study this subject area and future aspirations.
