CRUK Newcastle Cancer Centre Application

Please submit a 2-3 page CV (including names of 2 academic referees) and a personal statement indicating why you are interested in the Black Leaders in Cancer Scholarship PhD Programme. Your personal statement should list up to 3 projects you are interested in (in order of preference), including the Project Number(s) or Title(s) of the research project(s) from the list of available projects. Please state how your interests and experience relate to the selected projects. A research proposal is not required. 

Submit your CV and personal statement as attachments in an email to Dr Lauren Selfe lauren.selfe@newcastle.ac.uk and include the code ‘TC104’ in the header.

Closing date for applications is 6 December 2024, noon.

 

Please remember that you will also have to complete Step 1 - Submit your Windsor Fellowship Application

 

We should receive your references by 13 December 2024, noon. Your application may still be considered if references are not received by this deadline. However, no applicant will be invited to interview unless references have been received.

You will find out if you have been invited to interview for the programme before: 20 January 2025

Supervisors may contact you during the shortlisting period (December 2024 - mid-January 2025), to find out more about you and your interest in their project.

 

If you are shortlisted, you’ll be invited to attend an interview in February 2025.
