Accessibility Statement
We are committed to providing an accessible and inclusive service to all our students and graduates.
Careers Service accessibility support
To make the Careers Service more accessible for neurodiverse and disabled students and graduates:
- we can arrange longer appointments
- we can provide materials in alternative formats or other adjustments to access our resources/service. You can also convert documents into formats that work better for you using SensusAccess.
- we advertise opportunities and events for neurodiverse and disabled students throughout the website and on MyCareer
- we use accessible venues for our on campus events. For external events accessibility queries should be directed to the host venue
Facilities in the Careers Service
We have the following facilities in the Careers Service:
- an induction loop system in the reception area
- portable induction loop system (please ask at reception if you would like to use this)
- coloured overlay transparency sheets for students with dyslexia
- student PCs equipped with large screen monitors
- computer desks at varied heights for easier accessibilities
Information and advice
We can also provide information and advice on:
- asking for reasonable adjustments
- sharing information about a disability with employers if you choose to
- disability and neurodiversity careers related resources
- Equality, Diversity and Inclusion rights in the workplace
