Background

Helen joined the Placements Team in 2019 and now works as a Placements Adviser. Helen previously worked in roles providing outreach and engagement for third sector organisations in the North East of England and Northern Ireland.  

Roles and Responsibilities

As Placements Adviser, Helen is responsible for the operational running of 9-12 month placements for penultimate year undergraduate students from a variety of disciplines, including working with students, employers and staff from around the University.

Helen designs and delivers workshops to students who are on placement, promotes the placements offers in various schools and liaises with employers hosting placement students.
