Background 

May joined the Careers Service in April 2023, bringing with her over 10 years of international business development experience gained in the UK and across Asia. In addition, she has worked for China Europe International Business School within Executive Education. Prior to this, May ran her own start-up enterprise, providing business support and interpreting services to UK clients conducting business with Asia. She has also worked with the National Careers Service providing career guidance to local residents in the North East of England.

Roles and Responsibilities

May is the Careers Consultant linked to the School of Mathematics, Statistics, and Physics, REEM, and Postgraduate Researchers (SAgE). She also provides support to the China Gateway and international students and graduates.

MA Degree in Business Studies

BA (Hons) in English Language

First Degree in Public Service Interpreting

Professional Qualification in Education and Training

Professional Qualification in Information, Advice or Guidance
