Background

Salome joined Newcastle University in July 2007 as Business Start-up Manager. Prior to this she commenced her career in 1997 at Tyneside TEC on their graduate recruitment scheme before joining Business Link Tyne and Wear as a project manager where she was responsible for designing and managing the delivery of business support models within the sub-region and wider North East region. She has extensive experience in the application for and management of EU funding streams.  Salome is also a school governor for St Thomas More Academy

Roles and Responsibilities

Salome is a member of the Careers Service Curriculum Team where she is is the Module Leader for Newcastle University Placement Year Module for students on 9-12 month placements.  She is also a module tutor for final year Career Development module for stage 3 students.

• BA (Hons) International Business Studies with German (Northumbria University at Newcastle)
• Post Graduate Certificate Management Studies (Northumbria University at Newcastle))
• Get into Enterprise tutor accredited by Scottish Enterprise 
• PRINCE2 Practitioner
• Newcastle Teaching Award (Newcastle University)
