The creative sector encompasses a broad range of talent and includes a variety of roles in areas such as Music, TV and Film, Arts and Culture, Journalism, Marketing and Branding, Public Relations, Publishing and beyond, each with different requirements and skill sets needed to succeed.    
 
Join a variety of industry professionals for a series of insightful events, workshops and panels to equip yourself with useful advice and practical skills to help you gain experience in the creative sector.   
 
Come and grow your industry contacts, explore new ideas and get inspired to become a professional creative!

NUSU Student Media Afternoon

This Student Media Afternoon is a weekly event where all Student Media Branches, The Courier newspaper, Newcastle Student Radio and Newcastle Uni TV give the opportunity to take article commissions, host a radio show, or become crew on audio-visual projects.  

Meet like-minded creatives, gain hands-on experience, and be part of our award-winning student media scene.

You’ll also have the opportunity to ask the team any questions you might have about working in the industry during a Q&A session.

Publish Your Passion: An Introduction to Indie Publishing with Inpress & Poetry Book Society
