Background

I joined Newcastle University in the Careers Service in December 2018, as a Student Employment Assistant in the Jobs On Campus team. Prior to this I held admin roles at UK Visa and Immigration and Leeds Building Society as well as doing some voluntary work as a Teaching Assistant in a Primary School. I've also worked as an Auxiliary Nurse at Sunderland Royal Hospital for just over 2 years.

Role and Responsibilities

My current role sits in the Placements team in the Careers Service. Generally, my role includes liaising with students, external employers, school/faculty staff and other University colleagues in order to coordinate 9-12 month placement years. My role can also often include the coordination of student events, awards and other careers interventions.
