What is it?
Our Student 10% Discount Fob works by loading your Fob with your chosen amount of funds and using it as your payment method at the till, to receive 10% off every item every time. You can load your Fob with as little as £1.00 and top it up when it suits you throughout the year. Giving you the flexibility to spend what you want, when you want, whilst still saving money.
How does it work?
The Student 10% Discount Fob becomes your payment method and can be used to purchase any food or drink item from our twelve campus cafes. When you get to the till, instead of paying using your bank card, you scan your Student 10% Discount Fob. The cost of your item (with the 10% discount applied) will then be deducted from the balance on your Debitrak account. And that's it!
How do I top up my Student 10% Discount Fob?
You can easily add money to your Student 10% Discount Fob by logging into your Debitrak account. There's a QR code on the back of your fob that takes you to the Debitrak log in page.

What happens if I lose my Student 10% Discount Fob?
If you lose your Student 10% Discount Fob, just let the friendly team at the Catering Hub know as soon as possible via catering@ncl.ac.uk or 0191 208 6363. They can then cancel your lost fob so nobody else can use it and order you a new one. As soon as you receive this, you’ll be able to start spending your credit right away. Please note that lost fobs will incur a fee.

The Student 10% Discount Fob is exclusively for Newcastle University students. It's available to all undergraduate and postgraduate students at any stage of their degree programme. So whether your a first year undergraduate student or finishing your PhD , you can access your 10% discount now!
