CESI uncertainty bootcamp
CESI Bootcamp: Uncertainty in Energy Modelling
This two-day event for CESI Academics and Researchers was held at Newcastle University's Urban Sciences Building and included invited talks, tutorial presentations and discussion sessions.
Day 1: Uncertainty in Energy Modelling Tutorial Day
Day one of the programme was designed for CESI Researchers and PhD students, but was also open to all CESI academics. Tutorials presentations were delivered on statistical uncertainty quantification, system planning under uncertainty, expert elicitation, and social science perspectives on modelling.
Day 2: CESI Work Packages and Uncertainty in Energy Modelling
Day two of the bootcamp was of particular interest to those working on CESI Models, but was open to all CESI academics, researchers and PhD students. The day's programme consisted of scoping discussions on collaboration within CESI, covering both technical modelling and social science perspectives. The programme also included a guest speaker from the National Audit Office, adding a further dimension to scoping discussions.
