Newcastle University School of Engineering, the EPSRC National Centre for Energy Systems Integration (CESI) and the Supergen Leaders Energy Networks Hub jointly hosted a stand at the 2017 Low Carbon Networks & Innovation Conference & Exhibition.
The Low Carbon Networks & Innovation Conference & Exhibition is a major electricity and gas network innovation event held over two days. LCNI2017 took place in at the International Centre in Telford and was attended by delegates from industry, academia and other energy stakeholders.
CESI Associate Director, Dr Sara Walker delivered a talk on Energy Systems Integration Research: Challenges and Opportunities in the “Views from Academia” session of Day 2 of the conference.
Dr Zoya Pourmirza led the Supergen Energy Networks Workshop: Academic-Industry collaboration, on Day 1 of the conference. This workshop was of particular interest to early career researchers and provided a fantastic opportunity to shape the future of energy networks research in the UK.
