Research Assistant / Associate opportunity in Vehicle to Grid Integration
CESI’s Newcastle University researchers are recruiting for a Research Assistant/Associate in Customer Experience Analysis for Vehicle-Grid Integration
Newcastle University invites applications for a Research Assistant / Associate for a 12 month period to be based at the Alan Turing Institute in London.
The postholder will contribute to shaping transport and energy futures. You will join the Vehicle Grid Integration Group at the Turing Institute. Your role will be focused on the analysis of customers’ experience and acceptance to use vehicle to grid (V2G) technology.
Newcastle University is a partner on a £10.6m project in collaboration with world-leading automotive and energy industries. The project is a large scale demonstrator on V2G technology. V2G allows charging and discharging of EVs’ batteries to support the power system for financial rewards. Project data will be collected from EVs, users, V2G charging infrastructure and the electricity network. The analysis of this unique and comprehensive dataset will reveal insights that will help us identify challenges and devise strategies to overcome some of the barriers to the decarbonisation of transport and power sectors.
