Leading programme in a growing field
Cyber Security is a dynamic area of computing science, concerned with understanding how attackers exploit the features and vulnerabilities of a system, and how to detect, prevent and respond to these attackers.
The Cyber Security MSc at Newcastle offers students the opportunity to develop their knowledge and expertise in assessing the security of systems, making recommendations and building safer and more secure systems.
Dual certification
Our Cyber Security MSc is now dual certified as the degree is also accredited by the British Computer Society, the chartered institute for IT. This accreditation is awarded to higher education courses which equip graduates with real-world knowledge and technical expertise. It also provides a pathway for our graduates to become chartered IT professionals.
This dual certification highlights the programme's comprehensive and well-rounded nature, equipping graduates to excel in a diverse range of roles, industries, and challenges within cyber security and the broader field of computing.
