Armstrong Building

For those looking to host a large conference, the Armstrong Building has much to offer.

Set within this Grade II listed building is the iconic King’s Hall. This impressive space seats up to 440 and is the ideal setting for concerts and exhibitions.

Additional lecture theatres and classrooms are also situated within this building.

Boiler House

If you’re looking for a contemporary space, the Boiler House might be perfect for your conference.

The building is situated at the heart of the University campus and the original build dates back to 1923.

Dame Margaret Barbour building

The Dame Margaret Barbour building offers a large lecture theatre with a split-level atrium and multiple classrooms.

This venue accommodates up to 300 delegates.

Devonshire Building

Compact suite of two meeting rooms on the ground floor, perfect for a small event or boardroom meeting.

The Devonshire boasts an impressive atrium which maximises natural light.

Available as a space for registration and light refreshments.

Frederick Douglass Centre

This purpose-built facility is located on the newly developed Newcastle Helix site. It offers an impressive, multi-purpose 750-seater auditorium, with the flexibility to divide this into two separate lecture theatres with capacities of 250 and 500.

A further collaborative lecture theatre can be found on the ground floor adjoining the atrium area with a further 6 seminar rooms.

Hadrian Building

Flexible flat floor space for large conferences and events. Can be divided to suit your requirements.

The Lindisfarne Room accommodates up to 350 delegates and is equipped with dual screen projection, separate sound and voice reinforcement systems and a sophisticated touch screen control system.

The Bamburgh Room offers space for a further 100 delegates.

Henry Daysh Building

Henry Daysh Building received an extensive refurbishment in 2021 which transformed the building to a modern and cohesive space spanning over seven floors.

Herschel Building

The Curtis Auditorium, with full AV equipment, provides tiered seating for 360 delegates.

Adjoining concourse area, ideal for catering, drinks reception and exhibition space.

Three additional lecture theatres and four classrooms for breakout sessions.

Old Library Building

Situated at the heart of the campus this building offers a suite of six classrooms.

The Old Library Building also provides two small foyer areas for event registration and refreshments.

Percy Building

Offers a traditional ambience ideal for smaller conferences and day meetings.

Two lecture theatres, seating up to 98 delegates each.

Three breakout rooms on the ground and first floors.
