A post occupancy evaluation after recent extensions to a school building
Five focus groups of teachers in this school in Iceland (that had recently been extended), used the Stories of Educational Spaces (SES) tool to review the historical, current and possible future uses of selected areas within the school building. The three areas chosen for inspection were thought to have potential for new uses which could be considered by the teachers. The SES tool was adopted in order to help them identify and come up with new applications. Each group took on one area and used a digital wall or padlet (Padlet, n.d.) prepared in advance to document their findings. Eftirinnflutningsmat að loknum nýlegum viðbótum við skólabyggingu
Fimm rýnihópar kennarar við þennan skóla á Íslandi, þar sem nýlega hafði verið byggt við fyrri byggingaráfanga skólans, beittu verkfærinu Sögum af menntarýmum (SMR) til að rýna sögulega, samtíma- og mögulega framtíðarnotkun valinna svæða í skólabyggingunni. Svæðin þrjú sem valin voru til skoðunar voru talin geta boðið upp á nýja notkun fyrir kennarana að ígrunda. SMR-tólinu var beitt til að auðvelda þeim að greina og benda á nýja notkunarmöguleika. Hver hópur tók eitt svæðanna fyrir og notaði sérstaklega útbúinn stafrænan vegg (Padlet, e.d.) til að skrá niðurstöður sínar. Verkfærið ýtti undir líflegar umræður og hugmyndavinnu.
