Background
Orla Collins is a Lecturer in the School of Natural and Environmental Sciences at Newcastle University. Her research interests include: market-oriented new product development, digital marketing, health promoting and functional foods, healthy ageing, strategic food marketing, innovation and consumer- led innovation. Orla received her BSc in Food Business from University College Cork, Ireland in 2009. In 2010, Orla received her MSc in Strategic Management and Planning from UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School, Ireland. She graduated from University College Cork with a PhD in 2016. Her PhD research focused on market-oriented new product development of health promoting foods for the ageing population.
